The XR Workshops, led by Eternal Engine, are designed for individuals interested in integrating XR technologies into performative practices, as well as performers who want to learn the fundamentals of programming live actions with XR tools. Participants will gain hands-on experience in creating and animating Metahumans in Unreal Engine, learning key skills such as avatar customization, facial animation using Live Link, and body movement capture with Deep Motion. The workshops offer a foundational understanding of how to incorporate XR technologies into live performance, empowering performers to independently create tech-driven performances in virtual and augmented environments.
Participants will be selected through an open call and informed on the 25th of November by email.
PLEASE NOTICE: The organizers cover the cost of the workshops, but participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and must bring their own computers. Please fill out the application form. The number of spots is limited.

LEAD ARTIST
Eternal Engine (Martix Navrot & Jagoda Wójtowicz) creates narratives about alternative technologies, critiquing the dominance of big tech corporations and exploring post-real imaginaries through VR, AR, AI, 3D, and sound. Their works have been showcased at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Tate Liverpool, BFI London, Unsound Festival, and many other institutions and galleries. In 2022, the duo participated in the Unseen Futures residency dedicated to queer digital artists and was recognized as European Changemakers by Creative Europe.
Martix Navrot (they/them) a programmer, poet, and artist of sound and virtual experiences, holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and completed a student’s exchange programme at the Glasgow School of Art.
Jagoda Wójtowicz (she/her), is a multidisciplinary artist and 3D designer, is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.
